In 2009 we will be inaugurating a new marathon route.  As always, it will begin and end at the Multiplaza Pacific Mall, a kilometer from the Plaza Paitilla Inn. Here is a description of the route:

1. Leave Multiplaza Mall, toward Panama Viejo

2. In front of Atlapa Convention Center, take the Southern Corredor (toll road)

3. Leave the Corredor at the Costa del Este exit.

4. Continue to the end of Costa del Este.

5. Returning, return to the Corredor at the DHL building.

6. Leave the Corredor at the Atlapa exit and continue past Multiplaza Mall.

7. Go toward Balboa Avenue

8. Enter overpass which leads to the Avenida de los Mártires (Martyrs' Avenue).

9. Continue to Amador and return at the Avenue of the Flags

10. Continue to the Balboa Police Station and YMCA.

11. Turn left toward the Banco Nacional.

12. At the Banco Nacional turn right toward the old PTJ to enter the overpass.

13. From the overpass take the Cinta Costera.

14. Leave the Cinta Costera at the Nunciatura (Vatican Embassy)..

15. Finish at the Multiplaza Mall.
