The Panama City International Marathon is featured in Sportfilm's movie, Marathons of the World, as one of the 26 top marathons in the world.
It's also the world's 157th longest running marathon, and Central and South America's oldest marathon, according to the ARRS.
It's a Boston Marathon qualifying race.

At 30 years of age, the Panama International Marathon is one of the oldest in the world. The course, certified by AIMS, is mostly flat and runs through the streets of Panama City
The race starts at 5:30 a.m. at the Rommel Fernandez Stadium.
Typical temperature during the race is 75-85 degrees F (26-29 C) with 80-88% relative humidity.
Entry fee: $50.00 until July 31, 2007 $60.00 after July 31 (Panamanian citizens, $25.00 until July 31, $35.00 after).
There are 25 water points, at intervals of 1 to 2 kilometers.
All finishers receive T-shirts, medals, and certificates.

The October, 2004 episode of the sports series, "Marathons+" featured the 2004 Panama Marathon, which was won by Cuba's Henry Jaen.
